Welcome to Platform Collectables

Hi, I’m Peter, the founder of Platform Collectables. My love for model railways began as a child, spending time with my grandad and his wonderful collection. We shared a passion for trains, often visiting places like Pecorama and Buffers Model Railway shop, dreaming up new layouts and finding inspiration. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong fascination with model railways.

Since inheriting my grandad’s collection, I’ve been working to restore it to its former glory. Along the way, I realised how many enthusiasts face challenges keeping their trains running—whether it’s a dropped locomotive needing repair or a fleet overdue for a proper service.

That’s why I created Platform Collectables. My aim is to help you keep your trains on track, offering repairs, servicing, and everything needed to breathe new life into your models.

I’m also documenting my restoration journey on YouTube, sharing tips and stories to inspire others in the model railway community. Together, let’s keep the magic of model railways alive, one train at a time.
