At Platform Collectables, we believe in giving back to the community, and we’re proud to support Prostate Cancer UK—a charity dedicated to funding research, raising awareness, and supporting men affected by prostate cancer.

Why Prostate Cancer UK?

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, with over 11,000 lives lost each year. Given that model railways are a passion for many men, we felt this was a cause that resonates deeply with our customers and the wider railway modelling community.

How We’re Supporting the Cause

March the Month Challenge – Our founder, Peter, is taking part in March the Month, a virtual step challenge where participants commit to walking or wheeling 11,000 steps a day throughout March—one step for every man lost to prostate cancer each year. You can support Peter’s journey by donating or joining the challenge yourself! Support Peter here

Donations & Awareness – We’ll be raising awareness on our website and social media, sharing important information about prostate cancer, and encouraging early detection and regular check-ups.

Future Fundraising Initiatives – Stay tuned for upcoming charity auctions, donation-matching events, and special promotions where a portion of sales will go towards Prostate Cancer UK.
